2-Year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Japanese Studies
The Department of Chinese and Japanese at Vassar College invites applications for the position of Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow, beginning in Fall of 2018. We seek candidates who specialize in Japanese Studies, including such fields as Japanese Literature, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies. We are especially interested in applicants who have Japanese language teaching experience and a broad range of research interests. This is a full-time, two-year position that carries with it a half-time teaching load of three courses per year, typically two Japanese language courses and one course in the fellow’s specialization. The remainder of the fellow’s time will be devoted to the fellow’s research/scholarship. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D.
